As Shinobi, we all need to hone our skills and become stronger in every way we can, to improve our abilities and reach our goals. To do that, we need to be capable of fighting, at least, if we have graduated the academy already. While every Ninja have their own way of fighting and their own tactics used in battle, this thread will demonstrate how a battle is done in this forum.
As you all know, we're Shinobi. We're allowed to attempt killing strikes, so don't go crying please if someone uses an S-ranked Jutsu on you right off the bat. It's not something usual Shinobi will do, and if not deemed necessary, a death event will never occur.
Now, fighting isn't done with certain parameters to measure our strength, like HP, ATK Power or Chakra Left. Fighting here revolves solely around RP skills, so the only aid you will receive in fighting using certain parameters will be your Ninja Biography, which determines how skilled your character is in which category involving fighting. Please do remember though, training can be triggered to increase a certain parameter by a bit, although ONLY GOD can reach a perfect score. It might seem weird at start that we don't use any stats whatsoever to determine our strengths in battle, though we can count on several things: one of which would be rank - Jounin are obviously more powerful than almost every Chuunin, another being logic - your character can't dodge or block every hit and obviously can't stay fighting for over 3 nights and days without dieing.
This means also that when you're fighting, you will have to be descriptive about what you're attempting and what you're doing. Oh, hold on, one more thing.
We're making attempts here, not automatically doing things. For example, Naruto would attempt a Summoning Jutsu. Kisame, which is much more powerful and skilled, makes an attempt to slash him with his sword and succeeds logically. Naruto's attack fails therefore.
Another case, Zabuza begins using the Hand Seals in an attempt to use Water Style: Water Dragon. Kakashi, thanks to his Sharingan, copies his hand seals and attempts to release it at the same time, thus the two succeeding in the attack - but no damage taken.
There are also some exceptional times when attempts aren't needed, which would look like godly moments. One of which is the use of Kirin (Which is forbidden), since raining lightning isn't slow almost at all. Another example would be opening the 8th Gate, which actually allows you to God Mode, meaning you can say you automatically hit someone and therefore, broke their body into pieces, just like the 8th gate would do.
However, God-like moments come off with an incredible cost, the two examples above being the following: Kirin requires an enormous amount of Chakra to be wasted, and a massive amount of thunderclouds all at one place. 8th Gate's opening, once closed, will cause the person using it - death.
No, we cannot resurrect. That's also forbidden.
Another important thing to mention, boosting Jutsus or ones that don't require attacking the enemy also don't need attempts. This can be easily explained with the fact that each of us has complete control over our own character, and our own character only, though to their limits' extension. A perfect way to demonstrate, is Naruto's continuous usage of Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, which is automatic multiplication. No attempts needed.
Just a reminder, you will need to be descriptive about everything you do.
If everything wasn't enough, an example of a battle can be seen here:

That is all.
